To prepare, pressure cook 1 cup of dal (such as moong, masoor, or arhar) with salt. In a pan, heat 2 teaspoons of oil, then add ? teaspoon of cumin seeds and 1 finely chopped onion. Saut? until the onion turns a light brown. Incorporate 1 teaspoon of ginger-garlic paste and 2 chopped tomatoes, cooking until they soften. Stir in 1.5 teaspoons of Rooted Peepul Tandoori Dal Masala and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Add the cooked dal and adjust the salt to taste. Let it simmer for 15 minutes. You can enhance the dish with an extra tadka if desired, or garnish with fresh coriander and ghee.
